Course Description

Build basic project planning and continuous improvement habits to support success in higher education settings. This course is designed for staff and faculty coordinating events, courses, or initiatives without formal project management training. Learners will gain practical skills in goal-setting, timelines, and process improvement while also exploring inclusive project habits that account for accessibility, equity, and reconciliation. Through an introduction to universal design principles, culturally respectful engagement, and mindful planning, participants will learn to support projects that are both effective and inclusive.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Define project goals, scope, and deliverables aligned with institutional priorities. 

  1. Apply planning and tracking tools to manage progress and resources.
