Course Description

In this course, learners will explore how to lead practical process improvement efforts within their team, function, or project to enhance how work gets done. The focus is on clarifying roles and handoffs, reducing rework and delays, and addressing the root causes of recurring issues. Learners will assess current-state processes, identify quick wins, and guide the implementation of improvements with team involvement. Emphasis is placed on achieving measurable gains in efficiency and quality while putting simple controls in place to sustain results. 

This course is part of the Next Move: Professional Growth Series within the Tier 2 - Lead category.

What You'll Learn

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to: 

  • Lead the mapping and baselining of current-state processes, including roles, responsibilities, and handoffs. 

  • Identify inefficiencies, delays, sources of rework, and priority improvement opportunities. 

  • Analyze underlying causes of recurring process issues and select appropriate improvement actions. 

  • Facilitate the design and implementation of practical process improvements with team involvement. 

  • Estimate the expected impact of improvements and establish simple performance measures to monitor and sustain results.
